Hailing from Surrey BC, CocoLarosa is a folk singer/songwriter specializing in rhythmically bombastic and lyrically driven storytelling.

His raw, poetic songs resonate with listeners who appreciate the honesty of Bob Dylan, the grit of Tom Waits, and the emotional depth of John Moreland. He is supported by Canada's Music Incubator (CMI), and regularly performs showcases and at festivals across the lower mainland.

Coco is a two time winner of the Fraser Valley Music Awards 'People's Choice Award' (2024/2025), and was nominated for the FVMA 2025 Singer/Songwriter of the year.

'Potter and the Clay' is the first single from his FACTOR funded debut album ‘The Valley of Tongues’ and was released on June 13th, 2026.

CocoLarosa is a marine mechanic by day, and troubadour of unquestionable dexterity

in the verbal arena by night.

Presenter Testimonials

"From the first gutsy growl I was hooked as CocoLarosa spewed a melodic rant about his fellow shipyard workers and their tall tales on the Fraser River. His songs unfold like mini operas. Mythical characters, dubious motives, and rapid-fire political tirades of epic proportion.”

- Russ Rosen, Bez Arts Hub, Artistic Director

“He came highly recommended, and delivered. A compelling performance with gripping stories and strong audience engagement. One to watch in Vancouver’s indie music scene!”
