Hailing from Surrey, BC, alternative folk singer/songwriter CocoLarosa is known for his dynamic storytelling that moves from intimate to explosive.

After nearly two decades working as a marine mechanic, he began performing publicly in 2023, bringing a grounded yet intriguingly unpredictable voice and presence to the stage. Since then, he has established himself as a compelling live performer throughout British Columbia.​

Coco is a two time winner of the Fraser Valley Music Awards People’s Choice Award (2024/2025), and he released his FACTOR funded debut album, The Valley of Tongues, on September 25, 2026.

This 10 song collection draws from personal experience, self reflection, and a healthy dose of life’s absurdities. All songs were written by CocoLarosa, with no AI used in the writing, recording, or production of the album.
Though CocoLarosa has been writing since childhood, it was only in recent years that he began sharing his music publicly. 'The Valley of Tongues' captures the transition from private pages to public stages, and brings together a collection of songs shaped by that period of change.
Recorded acoustically at 5 Feet Under Studios in White Rock, BC, the album was captured live off the floor with minimal studio intervention. The approach preserves the immediacy and dynamics of the performances, resulting in a raw, lyric-forward collection that puts songwriting and storytelling at the centre.
